Thiruchirapalli – Thanjavur
Arrival at Thiruchirapalli airport and proceed towards Thanjavur. On arrival to Thanjavur, check-in to hotel and freshen up. Later in the late afternoon we will visit the Bruhadeeswara Temple, a major attraction in Thanjavur. It is one of the largest Hindu temple of Tamil architecture and located on the south bank of the Kaveri River. Return back to hotel and overnight stay.
Day 01
Thanjavur – Sathyamurthy Perumal – Manora Fort – Thanjavur
After b/f, full day excursion to Sathyamurthy Perumal Temple - dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu. It is constructed in the Dravidian style of architecture. After that, proceed to Manora Fort. The fort was built by Maratha ruler Serfoji-II in 1814–1815. It is an Eight-storyed, Hexagonal Tower, which is 23M high overlooking the Bay of Bengal. Return back to Thanjavur and overnight stay.
Day 02
Vijayanagar Fort
After b/f visit and explore Vijayanagar Fort. This majestic fort was built by Nayaks and partly by Maratha rulers during the early 1550 AD. The fort houses a Thanjavur Palace, which is served as the official residence of the Thanjavur Marathas. The palace complex consists of the Sadar Mahal Palace, the Queen's Courtyard, The Durbar Hall and Small Bell Tower. Also the Saraswathi Mahal Library and the Chandramouleeswara Temple is situated within the premises. Return back to hotel and overnight stay.
Day 03
Thanjavur – Shree Rangnathaswamy Temple – Thiruchirapalli
After breakfast, check-out from hotel and proceed towards Shree Rangnathaswamy Temple. Here the Lord Ranganathaswamy is in reclining position facing south. In the afternoon drop at Thiruchirapalli airport for return journey to Pune. Tour conclude.
