Pune – Satara Museum – Sajjangad Fort – Satara
In the morning, start journey from Pune and proceeds toward Satara. First visit Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Museum. In the Afternoon visit Sajjangad Fort. In the evening check-in to hotel and overnight stay.
Day 01
Satara – Sangam Mauli – Ajinkyatara Fort – Baramotichi Vihir – Satara
After b/f, left the hotel and visit Sangam Mauli Temple - an ancient Shiva Temple, along the Krishna River at the Sangam (Confluence) with the Venna River. Then visit Ajinkyatara Fort which was a vital piece of the Maratha Empire's history, reflecting the military, political, and cultural developments of that era. It helped in establishing Maratha control over the southern territories. Later visit Baramotichi Vihir - a stepwell in ' Limb' village. The well is octagonal in shape which is 110 feet deep, 50 feet wide and has a palace in the centre. In the evening return back to the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 02
Satara – Phaltan Rajwada – Menavli – Mahabaleshwar
After b/f, check-out from hotel and visit Phaltan Rajwada – a hidden gem of Maratha architecture. The Phaltan Rajwada was built between 1861 and 1911, in two parts, and is an amalgamation of Western architecture with Jain and Hindu styles. Then proceed towards the Mahabaleshwar. En-route visit Menavli Phadnavis Wada is a masterpiece of combination of Maratha Architecture, Peshwai Period Murals, Great History and Modi Script. The architectural combination of a Wada-type residence, a Ghat on a water-body and a Temple was typical of Peshwa era. This construction was completed around 1780. The Phadnavis wada is one of the very rare places where such a combination is preserved intact. Later proceed towards Mahabaleshwar. Check-in to hotel in Mahabaleshwar and overnight stay.
Day 03
Mahabaleshwar – Pratapgad Fort – Pune
After b/f, check-out from hotel and visit Pratapgad Fort which was constructed in 1656 by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. It is famous for the Battle of Pratapgarh in 1659, where Shivaji Maharaj defeated the formidable Bijapur general, Afzal Khan. This victory marked a turning point in establishing Maratha power in the region. The fort features impressive architecture, including temples and watchtowers, and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. In the late afternoon start return journey to Pune. Tour conclude.
