Nashik – Shivneri – Junnar
In the morning, start the journey from Nashik and proceeds Shivneri Fort - the birthplace of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. This well-fortified hill fort played a crucial role in Maratha history. The fort features strong defensive walls, water reservoirs, temples and offers panoramic views. In the evening check-in to hotel and overnight stay.
Day 01
Junnar – Lohagad – Lohgad Base
After b/f, check-out from the hotel and proceed towards Lohagad Fort, located near Lonavala, was a strategic asset for the Maratha Empire. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj captured it in 1648, using it to control trade routes and store treasures. Its strong defenses made it vital for military operations, strengthening Shivaji Maharaj’s position in his fight for Swarajya. Major attractions: Ganesh Darwaja, Lohgad Caves, Vinchu Kada (Scorpion's Tail), Water Tanks and Reservoirs, Stunning views of the Sahyadri Ranges and Pawna Lake etc. In the evening transfer to hotel near Lohagad Base and overnight stay.
Day 02
Lohgad Base – Dehu – Shanivar Wada – Lal Mahal – Nashik
After b/f, check-out from hotel and proceed towards Pune to visit Shanivar Wada and Lal Mahal. On the way visit Sant Tukaram Maharaj Gatha Mandir. Sant Tukaram Maharaj and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj were both iconic figures of Maharashtra in the 17th century, contributing immensely to society, but in different spheres. While Sant Tukaram Maharaj uplifted society through spiritual guidance and promoting social harmony, Shivaji Maharaj’s work was rooted in establishing and protecting the independent kingdom. Together, they represent Maharashtra's spiritual and political strength. After reaching to pune visit Shanivar Wada, which was the royal palace of the Peshwas of the Maratha Empire. Built in 1732, it symbolizes Maratha power and culture. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's legacy influenced its construction, and it served as a political center, reflecting the empire's grandeur until its decline in the 19th century. Then visit Lal Mahal, which was the childhood residence of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Built in 1630, it symbolizes Maratha heritage and strength. The Mahal served as a strategic base for Shivaji Maharaj's early campaigns against the Mughals. In the evening start return journey to Nashik. Tour conclude.
